PI KAPPA PSI
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in Pi Kappa Psi is by invitation only extended to the highest caliber of women committed to empowering one another and others , while maintaining,  supporting and upholding the goals, missions and vision of Pi Kappa Psi Sorority.

It is the responsibility of any woman associated with Pi Kappa Psi Sorority in ANY capacity to always represent the organization in a light that is favorable according to the values of Pi Kappa Psi Sorority. Any woman found to be insubordinate of this expectation shall be banned from the organization, possibly indefinitely, according to the severity of her violation. 
 

PI KAPPA PSI SORORITY IS A NON-HAZING ORGANIZATION. Goddesses are not trained or punished like animals. they are empowered and empower on another alike.

UNDERGRADUATE MEMBERSHIP

In order to be eligible for undergraduate membership, women must meet the following criteria:
  • Must understand and adhere to the expectation to remain an active member.
  • If enrolled in a collegiate or trade program, must be able to furnish verifiable proof of having nothing less than a "B" average, or a 3.0 on a 4 point grading scale.
  • If not enrolled in a collegiate or trade program, must be able to furnish verifiable proof of having at least 18 months of consecutive work history in a single industry. 
  • Must have a proven track record of community involvement with at least 40 hours of community service in the last year. Women who do not meet this requirement can partner with our "Kappas in the Kommunity" to get caught up on this requirement.
  • Must furnish 2 letters of recommendation and a referral from an active and financial member of Pi Kappa Psi Sorority or Chi Kappa Psi Fraternity.
  • Must be able to meet the time commitment requirements as set forth by the local chapter for intake, and for maintaining "active" status.
  • Must successfully complete the Membership Intake Process.
  • Must meet the financial obligations associated with intake and membership.
  • Must be welcoming and compassionate. We are a NO HATE organization and welcome all women who meet the above stated criteria.
Although we are not an academic organization, we do evaluate academic performance as a method of separation and classification as elite for women who are currently enrolled in academic programs. 
 

Graduate Membership

​In order to be eligible for graduate membership, women must meet the following criteria:
  • Must understand and adhere to the expectation to remain an active member.
  • If enrolled in a collegiate graduate program, must be able to furnish verifiable proof of having nothing less than a "B" average, or a 3.0 on a 4 point grading scale. 
  • If not enrolled in a collegiate program, must be able to furnish verifiable proof of having at least 36 months of consecutive work history in a single industry and be over the age of 25.
  • A woman may also be considered for membership if not currently in a graduate program but has completed a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of work experience in a given industry.
  • Must have a proven track record of community involvement with at least 40 hours of community service in the last year. Women who do not meet this requirement can partner with our "Kappas in the Kommunity" to get caught up on this requirement.
  • Must furnish 2 letters of recommendation and a referral from an active and financial member of Pi Kappa Psi Sorority or Chi Kappa Psi Fraternity.Must be able to meet the time commitment requirements as set forth by the local chapter for intake, and for maintaining "active" status.

AUXILIARY GROUP MEMBERSHIP

There are many ways in which one could become involved in Pi Kappa Psi Sorority. Outside of standard full membership, we extend invitation to selected individuals who personify what we stand for however for whatever reason, do not and/or can not currently pursue full membership. 

Kappa Gentlewomen
Masculine identifying women who assist with the operations of the sorority and are considered a "friend" to the organization similar to Lioness and Guardians. ​

​Kappa Lioness & Guardians
Mature women and men who assist with the everyday operations of the sorority and have been extended invitation into the Lioness club as a token of our appreciation for their support and their service. 

Kappa Queens & Kings
Women and men ages 19-49 who assist with the operations of the sorority and are considered a "friend" to the organization similar to Lioness and Guardians. Queens may one day wish to journey into full membership as a soror which is optional however, designation of "queen" represents her external support and dedication. 

Kappa Debutantes & Gents
Young ladies and men, ages 13-18 who participate in community service efforts while undergoing etiquette and diversity activities to help create well-rounded, graceful young women and men. Kappa Debutantes participate in an annual debutante ball with Kappa Gents as their escorts.

Kappa "Kutie Pi"s and Kubs
Girls and Boys, ages 8-12 who participate in numerous community projects, activities and efforts while enjoying field trips and outings contributing diversity and culture. "Kappa Kutie Pi"s participate in an annual pageant with Kappa Kubs as their escorts.  

​Kappa Littles
Girls and Boys, ages 3-7 who participate in numerous community projects, activities and efforts while enjoying field trips and outings contributing diversity and culture. "Kappa Littles" participate in an annual pageant.
